  • When should I get my oil changed?

    You should get an oil change every 3,000 miles or take a look at what is recommended in your vehicle’s owner’s manual. Ensure you use synthetic oil that is capable of extended mileage changes if unable to change every 3,000 miles.

  • How often should I rotate my tires?

    To prevent major tire damage or excessive wear and tear. Your tires should be rotated every other oil change, or every 6,000 miles.

  • Is it really necessary to replace my timing belt at the manufacturer recommended interval?

    YES. Failure to change the timing belt in many cars can result in major engine damage. It is not worth the cost of repairing an engine due to not changing the timing belt.

  • What should I do if my car starts to overheat?

    If your car overheats for too long, you can damage your engine. This can become a serious issue if don’t find a safe place pull over and shut the engine off as soon as possible. Do not attempt to check the fluid level while the engine is still hot because it will burn you. The best thing to do is have your car towed to a repair shop.

  • What does it mean if my “check engine” or “service engine soon” light comes on?

    There are many sensors and computers that manage your vehicle’s engine performance and diagnostics. When one of these fails, the “check engine” light will come on. Even though your car may seem to run fine, it is important to have the issue addressed to prevent potential serious issues.

  • When should I replace my car’s fuel filter?

    Most mechanics recommend you replace your car’s fuel filter approximately every 30,000 miles.

  • Is it time for a car tune-up?

    It may be time for an auto tune-up if you notice any of the following occurring with your vehicle: Decrease in gas mileage, Noticeable loss of power or “Rough” engine running, Stalling at stops, Engine noise or “knocking” during acceleration or run-on (dieseling) after turning off the ignition, & ‘Check Engine’ Light or ‘Service Engine Soon’ lights are on.
